AN ILLUSTRATED HISTORY OF INDIAN ENTERPRISE by Kokila Rangachari FICCI and Oxford University Press, 2013, 299 pp., 4995
February 2013, volume 37, No 2-3

Given that the flag of Indian enterprise has not been fluttering of late, this book should help boost the morale of Indian business and its elan at home and around the world. The story of Indian enterprise has been told in much greater detail by each of the book’s academic contributors, namely, Professors Dwijendra Tripathi, R. Champaka-lakshmi, Ashok V. Desai, Omkar Goswami, Shireen Moosvi and Purushottam Agarwal. Scholars and students who seek a more in-depth understanding of this story must go to their original works, as well as the enormous academic literature that already exists on the subject.
