Colours are not only spread all around us, but they also bear an impact on our minds and influence the way we think. This book presents for its readers the rich diversity in terms of nature, culture and food habits around us.

Although Lavanya has tried to weave it into the shape of a story where a small bird has to select a colour for itself, this is predominantly a thematic and informative book. Every page brings with it a new colour and gives some new information and helps children explore the cultural diversity of the country. The readers travel with the bird—sometimes to the Pink City, to the Satpura forests, at times to the snow-laden Himalayas, or else to the lakes of Spiti.
