There is an interesting quote that John Keating, a character played by actor Robin Williams says in the movie, Dead Poet’s Society about literature, ‘We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race and the human race is filled with passion and medicine, law, engineering, these are noble pursuits to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love. These are what we stay alive for.’ While reading the book It’s Time to Rhyme, I went back to my school days, recalling how I studied poems through the traditional method of reading the poem out loudly and the meaning explained, word by word. I really wish I had this book when I was in school.
