After the 2014 general elections, India has faced tremendous changes, some of which have had a huge influence on the public life of the country. The slogan of New India and Rashtrawad (nationalism) has become an integral part of the media discourse of the country, which started to overemphasize the Hindu Right-Wing values and exclude the concerns of the marginalized identities and the values of the freedom struggle.
