The book begins by asking the reader, have you ever said thank you to a tree. Then the author uses simple questions such as, Who gives you cotton that makes your pillow soft? Who provides you the paper for your books? What is a cricket bat or ball made of? and others to get the child to think. The author points out that all these gifts come to us from the trees and we should not forget to thank them.
The book makes use of simple language and multi-coloured cartoon style illustrations. A child can understand the story through the illustrations alone. The production quality is good, with thick and smooth paper. But if the font had been a little bigger it would have been more helpful.
The targeted readership is the 5-6-year-old child who is beginning to read.
