Bagh Bhi Padhte Hain written by Chandan Yadav and illustrated by Amrita is a short story collection. Most of the characters are animals which might remind you of folktales but on reading you realize that these take on the content with a touch of humour and eventually arrive at practical, kind and humane resolutions. Some stories are, in fact, retelling with a fresh ending. One more perspective which makes these stories a fun read.
Along with the fun element, some serious themes like segregation, police interaction, migration etc., have been touched upon which leaves the reader with much to ponder. The subtleness and the natural way in which this has been done is quite commendable.
