The book Zameen Humko Ghumati Hai is an interestingly inquisitive poem of how the author questions the wonders of nature, particularly the earth. Throughout the book and the poem, the author states his astonishment at the many attributes of nature.
The poem starts by describing the author’s amusement on learning that the ground would do as he asks of it, that if he sows seeds for grapes, he’ll get a full-grown bunch of them later on, if he plants it a pink rose bush, he’ll get a pink rose. He questions how no matter what he sows, the ground always accurately grows the same flower or fruit and gives colours to it. He demands to know whether the ground had hidden away colours deep under it in a treasure chest. Finally, he concludes that the ground knows magic!
