The literature on intersectionality of gender, class, ethnicity and race suggests that each marginalized group accommodates within it a hierarchical power structure in which various forms of discrimination correspond to each other. Intersectional Feminism acts as a reciprocation to whiteness of classical Feminism and recognizes varied forms of oppression that women witness due to unique combinations of discrimination and privilege. The mutually constitutive relations and interactions between varied social identities form the central tenet of Iqra Shagufta Cheema’s edited The Other MeToos. The exploration and discussion on intersectionality is an area of concern for researchers whose work is invariably imbued with promoting positive social change. The book is an innovative and a well-researched addition to existing literature. The author has diligently used intersectionality as a framework to understand the revolutionary impact the #MeToo Movement had across the globe from Asia to Africa to the Middle East. The cumulative assertion of trauma evoked by the hashtag #MeToo is at the same time pressing as well as inspiring.
