The citations and bibliography that conclude each chapter adhere to academic best practices, serve to pique the reader’s interest and encourage further exploration of the themes and concerns that may be of interest or study. The ground covered is extensive in range and this is finely balanced with the depth of analysis that is rarely found when such genre-specific histories are written.
