Angry Junglee Bosses by Cross is a fine satire about the human world, rendered as a flight of imagination in a world where COVID-19 has wiped out all human beings and brought in the Age of Animals. Cross writes deftly and with an assured hand, subtly giving out lessons on the importance of conservation, while sardonically snarling from the sides of his mouth at the Corporate way of life. Angry JungleeBosses had me hooked ever since I read the blurb of the book. Not only did the book promise a ride through corporate culture but it had the added edge of presenting the same through an animal world. The book met my expectations perfectly as I could relate to everything that Fox went through in his corporate life, from first-day jitters to corporate backstabbing. The book holds a lot of promise as the element of mystery that shrouds the office life of the animals is also very well planned out. There is a continuous thread of humour and sarcasm that binds the story together.
