Comrades! The evening of this century has begun.
The new century is knocking at the door.
Even this one will go and settle down into the pages of history.
It will demand an accounting of its achievements
—in the year 1917, 1937,1947—
And all the numbers still to come.
Teachers will put these figures on the blackboard,
At most, use their canes to draw lines on the map.
But who can tell? The Moon grew more expensive in this century.
